Anges Québec awards the honorary title of Angel of the Year 2018 to Mike Cegelski

Panache Ventures is proud to announce that Mike Cegelski, our Montreal-based Managing Partner, has been named Angel of the Year 2018 by Anges Québec.

“What a great honour to receive this award. I have been a member of Anges Québec since the very beginning, when the network was still just a startup. Today, Anges Québec is a model of success for all other angel groups on a global level. It is an honour to be recognized by an organization that is so dear to my heart. Thank you!” he stated.

Mike Cegelski, a super angel long-time member of Anges Québec, has recently cofounded Panache Ventures, a venture capital fund of $40M, and the most active in Canada. Panache Ventures has made 18 investments since its official launch on March 1st.

Anges Québec presented this award at its Annual Meeting on June 14, as the organization celebrated the work accomplished in the last year, in front of investor members, portfolio companies, sponsors and partners.

Mike Cegelski was, among others, the founder of Beltron Technologies, acquired by Nurun, and the cofounder of iBwave, acquired by Corning. He also has a very strong angel investor track record with over 24 tech investments and was named Angel of the year in 2015 by the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO).
